We recently attended the 51st Darryl Starbird’s National Rod & Custom Show in Tulsa Oklahoma. Darryl Starbird’s show is an annual indoor show with something for everyone when it comes to automotive events covering the hot rod and muscle car genre.
They had everything from live performances, circus dancers, face painting, motor bike races and a ton of vendors. The facility was huge and held hundreds of some of the nicest hot rods, street rods, muscle cars, customs, classics and even dragsters that I have seen in any one location.
Outside wasn’t as awesome as inside was, it was beyond cold when we arrived on an early Friday morning in February and to my surprise Oklahoma already had their fair share of snow on the sides of the road.
The weather did not stop the thousands of fans from pouring in. It was so busy at times that I could hardly get a decent picture without people walking in front of the camera. At a show of this magnitude that is to be expected and everyone was simply enjoying the live entertainment, cars and showcases on display.
The show hosted all demographics from young enthusiasts to seniors. It was my first time attending and I have already decided I will not miss another year. The Darryl Starbird’s National Rod & Custom Show 2015 is Car Guy approved.
