If you own a superyacht, you’ve probably fitted it with tons of water-based toys like water skis and water trampolines. And you might also have a helicopter so that the helipad doesn’t go to waste. However, there is usually a gap: a supercar that can fit.
That’s where the Marine Edition Mono comes in. Launched by Briggs Automotive Company and yachting company Camper & Nicholsons, the Mono is built to be light and fast. The single-seater weighs just 580kg (that’s 1,279 pounds). Its has a maximum speed of 170mph, going from 0-60mph in just 2.7 seconds. That’s good enough for anyone who wants to drive fast.
So, how is the car made to suit a superyacht? The electronics are immune to corrosion caused by salty air and moisture, and the metallic components have a rust-resistant finish. The Mono’s roll hoop accepts a strap, meaning you can load and unload it with ease.

It even comes with a carbon-fiber crane arm compatible with every yacht crane system. The four-cylinder engine produces 280 horsepower, and it comes with a pushrod suspension inspired by Formula 1 cars. The one significant thing it lacks is a windshield–it was apparently to heavy to be part of the car. So when you drive it around, you’ll need a helmet that comes with a visor.
And that’s not all. The Mono is customizable so you can make it fit your desires. You can customize the interior and exterior so that they match your yacht’s color scheme. The single seat is also made to fit your body, and so is the steering wheel. You can also have the car’s rear wing etched with the name and port of your superyacht.
The Marine Edition Mono will cost from $195,000, though the typical price will be $272,000. The cars will be built and assembled in Liverpool, England, and the manufacturers will make one Mono per month.
For superyacht owners, this is your chance to get the complete set of fancy toys.
