Hot Time At The Folsom Lock Down
At Xotic Customs – Lincoln, Nebraska
On June 18th 2016 a quiet area of Southeast Lincoln Nebraska was on LOCK DOWN!!! It was Xotic Customs 4th Annual Folsom Lock Down and it was under full swing, from 6pm to Midnight and beyond. There was close to 50 Hot Rods, Customs, Rat Rods, and Bikes that descended on Xotic Customs for a Great Evening of Rockabilly Music, Killer Food, and Fantastic People.
The Rockabilly Music from Great Local, and Regional Bands like the Dust Jackets, Bottle Tops, Lloyd McCarter, and Your Mom, kept things Rockin’ all night. While Nitro Burger served up an array of insane Burgers that were almost criminal.
Even though it was a Pre-66 Show, there were some great Late 60’s Muscle Cars that showed up for a night out on the town. This 1970 Chevrolet Nova was one Sweet Ride especially with a Big Block nestled under the hood.
This 5-Window Deuce Coupe was 24 Karat Spectacular sporting a Drop Dead Gorgeous Gold Paint Job, and in traditional Graffiti Style, it just screamed Old School Hot Rod.
There’s something about the back of a 1960 Ford Thunderbird that just looks so right. This T-Bird looks like it just rolled out of a custom shop, Ford did the 1958-1960 T-Birds right and in white, with those Triple Lights, this Bird ROCKS!!!
I love old Hearses, and this old Packard brings new meaning to the word “Dead Sled”. This Hearse can be spotted cruising all over town, and when she pulls into her “Final Destination”, she Lays Frame courtesy of a sweet set of Bags.
While considered a Rat Rod, there’s nothing Ratty about this Rod. Under that really straight A-Bone Sheet Metal is a very nice, well designed, and incredibly clean Chassis. The Small Block Chevy, sporting some Old School Style Finned Valve Covers, and Black Wire Wheels gave this Model A that Sweet look of a Traditional Hot Rod, with the Rawness of a Rat Rod. The woodwork throughout this Rod was amazing, and I’m so glad it wasn’t covered up and was there for everyone to see.
Bikes were out in force, with everything from an Old School Style Choppers with a Big Cam Mill, Custom Baggers, Sweet Looking Hot Rod inspired Bikes, to even a Vintage BMW Bike.
