Ferrari is a name that instantly sparks the imagination. It’s an elite brand, within an elite category of cars. These aren’t just cars, they’re works of art on four wheels.
Now picture an elite category within the Ferrari brand itself – that’s exactly what the Ferrari F12tdf is. This car takes power and performance to new levels.
It’s a car that boasts numerous advanced features, more take-off power, and definitely more horsepower than any other Ferrari currently in production. So what’s in one of these amazing machines? Let’s take a closer look.
Take off Power
The Ferrari F12tdf goes from 0 to 62 miles an hour in 2.9 seconds flat! The question is how does Ferrari achieve such amazing take off performance? It isn’t any one thing – it’s a combination of a whole lot of things.
Under the hood they’ve added a lighter plenum without resonators, a wider but lighter airbox capacity, and hydraulic actuators for managing trumpet height.
They’ve increased the air intake for higher performance overall, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. If all this sounds a little Greek to you, don’t worry, what you need to know is that the Ferrari F12tdf is one fast car right off the line. As an added bonus it’s completely street legal.

Advanced Features
It’s not just what’s under the hood that makes the Ferrari F12tdf a marvel of automotive genius – it’s also about the materials and ergonomic design changes they’ve made as well.
Ferrari has increased the use of carbon fiber by adding it to the door panels, there’s more lightweight aluminum in the floor, and they’ve left out anything that might add unnecessary weight. This car is about as light as it can get without having to worry about it blowing away in a strong wind.
They’ve also added a bigger splitter, dive planes, and floor wings which help the car to achieve greater aerodynamic efficiency.
Think about the type of engineering that goes into designing an advanced jet plane, and you’ll start to understand just how much effort Ferrari has put into getting the engineering just right in the Ferrari F12tdf. When you think about it, it kind of looks like a jet plane on wheels!
Horse Power
The bottom line for any sports car is horsepower, and this car has a whole lot of horsepower. The original Ferrari Berlinetta it was modeled after maxed out at about 729 horsepower, the engineers have significantly increased this to 769 horsepower in the F12tdf.
It also features 520 pounds of torque and a seven speed dual clutch transmission. It’s not a car for the faint of heart by any means. Ferrari is always pushing the envelope to achieve greater performance and once again they’ve succeeded with F12tdf.
So now that you know a little more about the Ferrari F12tdf you may be thinking how do I get myself one of these? You better be prepared to pay in excess of $500,000. If you’re not discouraged by the price tag you still might have difficulty finding one – Ferrari only plans to make 799 of these limited edition models. Best of luck!
